Community Service DayThird graders were invited to the the high school for a morning of fun activities. It was neat to see the third graders and high schoolers develop a bond instantly. This is the beginning of a tradition that we hope will develop interaction between the schools in the areas of civic pride and the value of community service.
Some activities that kids experienced were: flag football, kickball, ping pong, wiffle ball, science experiments, just dance (wii), shrinking necklaces, sponge bucket races, shaving cream art, CPR training, and minute to win it games. |
Manchester MILL-YARD Museum Field TripWe visited the mill yard and had a wonderful day learning about the life of local immigrants from 100 years ago. We had a blast exploring the museum and tinkering with house hold tools, children's games, hand looms, and school books from the 1900's. Children definitely developed an appreciation for the conveniences that we have today in our world! It was a great day!
